New sewing class in Bristol

**UPDATE** The students who came along to the July class made some beautiful pyjama trousers. I can’t wait to see the photos. I was too engrossed in teaching to take any!

This class will run again in January 2023 at Creative Space.

I’m delighted to say that I’ll be teaching in a light, bright, real life setting in July 2022.

If you’re keen to learn sewing techniques from me, there are still a couple of places, at the time of writing this, on An Introduction to Dressmaking at Creative Space.

I’ll guide you through the sewing skills needed to make your own pair of pyjama trousers. I’ll demonstrate techniques and share professional tips from my years of sewing, teaching and my experience working in a nightwear factory, which supplied high street shops.

We’ll be working from the very versatile Simplicity pattern 1563. This pattern is an investment in itself, as there are so many options of garments to make from it. I’ll share plenty of ideas throughout the three evening course and teach you skills which are transferable across many dressmaking projects.

I aim to create a supportive and fun learning environment, beginning with decoding pattern symbols and taking the guess work out of determining the right fit.

To book, click the link at the top of this post and if you have any questions please feel free to get in touch.

Looking forward to it!!
