Sewing amongst the plants

It's just a few days until I'll be transporting all my carefully packed fabrics, threads and tools to run a hand sewn appliqué workshop in The Pod at Grow Wilder in Bristol. What is The Pod, I hear you ask? Well, it's a bit like a rather nice, posh pollytunnel, with plenty of fresh air and space for each participant to sit at their own table, being creative.

I've been planning this for a while and am delighted to be able to now sell the tickets. The workshop, and others I'm developing, have been supported by a grant from West of England Combined Authority.

There will be a choice of lovely fabrics and embroidery threads to choose from. Tote bags or cushion covers will be provided, as the background piece, which participants will embellish, with my guidance and encouragement. I'm already excited to see how individual each piece will be. I've missed the energy of people being creative together!

If you are interested but have some questions before booking a ticket, please feel free to send a message via the contact page.

I'm off to make a cup of tea and put together some fabric leaf shapes. It's all coming together nicely...
